Happy Monday Friends! I hope you all had lovely weekends! We had a pretty busy and fun one with my student’s Christmas recital yesterday and a friend’s new job celebration on Friday night! I also took a mini break from posting to Instagram/being as active on it the past couple of days, and it was much needed! Both R and I have been feeling burnt out the past few weeks, as it’s been a really busy few months for both of us. But a weekend with less time on social media, a long nap, and an encouraging church service this morning were just what we needed to refresh a bit before heading into a new week! What do you guys do to reset or feel refreshed when you’re feeling burnt out?
Speaking of refreshing, I am just loving light neutral colors for Christmas and winter! I still, and always will, enjoy burgundies and evergreens, and even red during the holidays. But I’ve just been loving new color combinations and lighter colors, especially white, lately. I’ve also been liking white paired with olive! Olive is probably one of my favorite neutral colors. I don’t have enough olive in my closet, but the pieces I do have I love! Especially these olive pumps (which are 30% off through tonight!) They’re such a lovely olive color, but the lace up detailing is just 😍! I’ve been playing around with creating festive looks lately, especially ones using lighter colors, and this is one that I came up with and liked! To recreate, just pair a light colored sweater or top with white jeans, add some heels and a statement necklace, and you’re good to go! I think it’s a pretty good recipe for a fresh take on holiday dressing. Let me know if you try it out! Also, if you’re looking for a good crew neck sweater, Ann Taylor has some great ones right now, and is offering 60% off of all sale items, taking quite a few items down to a very affordable price! This sweater comes to $32 after the discount!
If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you have probably noticed I have a strange obsession with Richmond & Finch phone cases. It’s true, I do. Do you blame me? But it works in your favor because I’ve partnered with them to give one of my lucky and lovely followers an iPhone 7 case for Christmas! To enter, just follow me on Instagram and like the gold & black flatlay photo with a Richmond & Finch phone case in it (which I’ll be posting it later today)! This is going to be the 4th of the 6 Christmas giveaways I’m doing, which means there are still 2 more coming up! The next one will have some great Tory Burch goodies, and the last one will be for an iMac! Make sure to check back here and on Instagram frequently so you don’t miss out!
