Happy Wednesday! It’s hard to believe we’re almost a week past Thanksgiving! I hope you all had a wonderful long weekend filled with family, food, & celebrating/enjoying all the big and little blessings in your life. Ours was a very busy weekend with all the traveling we did, but it was a good one. It made me that much more thankful we have family to travel to and visit! To give back and thank you all for following along here and supporting me, I’m going to be doing 5 giveaways between now and Christmas. I can’t wait to spoil you all with some great goodies! The first one is tonight, so head to Instagram then to check it out and enter!
I know I usually post my #wednesdaywhimsy series on Wednesdays, but I’m so off my schedule from Thanksgiving and sales posts this weekend and want to write about some great gifting ideas in the coming weeks, so I miiiight not be returning to my regular posting schedule till after the holidays 😉 I will try to sneak in some life or style inspiration into my posts though! For today, I just had to share this amazing post on how to reinvent leftovers! These ideas could also work great for Christmas, since mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce are popular dishes then too! I might even make stuffing for Christmas. It has to be one of my favorite foods ever!!! I could eat it year round!
And continuing on the cranberry theme, this cranberry/burgundy colored skirt is one of my favorite skirts I own! Actually this whole outfit could be a perfect post for #throwbackthursday, as most of the pieces are a year or more old! Lately, I’ve been trying to rework some pieces I already have in my closet (R is happy about that 😉 ), and this fall’s trends have made it so easy! For some reason I was loving dark green, florals, knee length skirts and velvet the past few falls, and all of them have been huge trends this year! I love how this burgundy skirt picks up the similar tones in the sweater, and how the camel color contrasts yet pulls it all together! This outfit could easily be recreated with a floral blouse or suede skirt in the same or another neutral color too! I wore it to church the other week, and it was perfect for the service then running errands and eating after. I love outfits that look nice and put together, yet are comfortable and casual enough to live real life in. I also think it’s a fairly festive look, without being too Christmassy; I definitely plan on wearing it more through the holidays!
I’m also so excited to share some lovely jewelry pieces I got recently! I love jewelry (if you couldn’t tell), and am always on the lookout for new pieces that are elegant and unique. When I found Audaviv, I fell in love with their pieces! They’re so lovely and fashion-forward, are wonderful quality, but are also very different from anything you’d find in a department store. And you guys know that I love finding beautiful and unique things to ado my wardrobe! They keep it that way by partnering with brands that have a strong regional following and don’t mass produce their products or sell in large department stores. This triangle ring is from them, and is just one of the amazing rings they have. So are this delicate bracelet and minimal bangle that are so lovely together. They’re an understated way to add a bit of luxe to any outfit. They’re also so versatile! I put the bracelet on as soon as I got it this weekend, and still haven’t taken it off! It goes with everything! While they’re a newer and still growing business, they’ve so generously given me some great discount codes to share with you guys, that will be good through January, so whether you’re buying Christmas gifts or shopping with your Christmas money, you can save a good bit off of your order! Use code $10AUD for $10 off $50, or $30AUD for $30 off $100! What a win to be able to snag some beautiful jewelry at a discount while supporting a great small business!
I’ve linked similar options for everything that is no longer available. Let me know if you end up picking up anything from Audaviv or if you try to recreate this look!
(ps- it was freezing outside when we shot these pictures, so please excuse my pinkish-red hands 😉 )
