Happy Monday Guys! It’s hard to believe how quickly NYFW came and went – what a blur! I’m super excited to be sharing more of what I was up to and the shows I went to here on the blog; there were so many great collections I loved and products I tested!
NYFW Recap – Day 1 – Thursday, February 8th
Thursday was probably my 2nd busiest day during NYFW. The day started at 10am at the Bollare Gifting Suite, which was so incredibly fun! It was 50s Diner Themed with Root Beer Floats and lots of beautiful clothes and shoes to choose from! I got this fur jacket, which I have been wearing so much and have on in the photo below, as well as the body suit I’m wearing above and some great loafer slides!
Noon by Noor
Next was the Noon by Noor show at 11am, which I just barely made it to! The clothes were absolutely stunning; I loved the gold accents that many of the pieces had, as well as how many pieces had a nod towards Parisian style. These were a few of my favorite looks:
After Noon by Noor, I was off to the prettiest of suites to get my hair done by Redken. I opted for a fun, voluminous pony tail to tie in with my fabulous white pants from Lanyu, which I was wearing to their show later in the afternoon. They gifted us some great products, which I’ve been using and loving! My favorites are the All Soft Shampoo and Conditioner. If you’re looking for moisturizing and silkening hair products, these will do the trick!
After Redken, I met up with some friends at Broken Coconut for the Dr. Brandt event! We got to eat coconut yogurt (which was delicious, I highly recommend stopping by there if you’re ever in town!) while learning about and trying some new products. My favorite is their Magnetic Mask, which is not only super cool and fun to use, but so far has had great results for my skin! I’m also loving this new Green Tea Antioxidant Supplement they gave us!
After Dr. Brant it was off to Lanyu. I met the team the day before when getting fitted for the show, and they were the absolute sweetest! It was so nice to get to see some of them again at the show. It was just as wonderful to see Lanyu’s new collection! It was almost all white, with lots of shimmer, tulle, and a balance between flowy dresses and structured pieces with collars. I loved the extra touches she added such as long gloves as accessories and feathers added to the heeled sandals.
Next was Pamella Roland, where I was swooning over the elegant, voluminous dresses. The intricate beading and detailing was beautiful, and I loved the very feminine hair and makeup!
After Pamela Roland, I finally got to return back to my hotel for a brief bit, and catch up on some work! Then I headed out to a dinner meeting where I finally got to meet Mandy from @ministryforstyle, a friend from IG I’ve been dying to meet for months! The meeting was at the Quin, a gorgeous hotel that often features amazing art collections and is a great place to visit and stay while in NYC. We dined at the Wayfarer; which is just to the right of the lobby. The food was amazing and it was a great end to Day 1!
Thanks so much for reading along; stay tuned for Day 2!
